I’ve been passionate about jazz and cabaret my whole life, and grew up listening to songs my godfather, the incomparable Lew Spence wrote for singers like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Peggy Lee and Barbra Streisand. I’m a Marvin Hamlisch International Music Award Jazz Composition Nominee, a two-time ambassador of Michael Feinstein’s Great American Songbook Academy,  the 3rd Place Winner of the ASMAC Bill Conti Big Band Arranging Competition, and the 1st Place Winner of the Glenn Miller Big Band Scholarship Competition. I was selected to participate in SW!NG OUT! at the Los Angeles Music Center, in collaboration with the Eyal Vilner Big Band, and under the mentorship of Ron Wilkins. I was one of eight Cabaret Fellows at the Eugene O’Neill Cabaret and Performance Conference, where I workshopped and premiered several of my original cabaret songs, opening for Billy Stritch and Gabrielle Stravelli. I’ve had the honor of working closely and learning from the brilliant songwriting team Marcy Heisler and Zina Goldrich, who have written cabaret classics such as “Taylor, the Latte Boy” and “Alto’s Lament.” My original musical, CORONA’S CABARET: An Act of Destruction, where I portrayed the coronavirus as a nightclub singer, won the Audience Choice Award for Playbill’s Virtual Theatre Festival Live.
