Dancing

Mother says I was a dancer before I could walk! I began dancing when I was two, studying ballet with Jennifer Nairn-Smith at Outback Studios, then at Marat Daukayev School of Ballet until the age of eight. I spent the majority of my dance education at the Los Angeles Ballet Academy, under the direction of Andrea Paris-Gutierrez, training with the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, and completing yearly exams through the Advanced 1 level. For my senior recital at LABA, I composed and co-choreographed “Ballet d’Isolement Covid.” I’ve studied tap at B and B Dance Studio with Dean Barlow, as well as with Melinda Sullivan and Denise Scheerer at the Colburn School. I’ve studied jazz at the Hollywood Dance Centre with Walter Painter, and hip hop at the Los Angeles Ballet Academy. I’m currently taking dance lessons at the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance and recently participated in USC’s Composer/Choreographer Collaboration, where I composed, played trumpet, piano and danced in “Variety is the Spice of Life” with Kaufman students Leon Powell and Esi Samuels.
