I began conducting in 2019 at the Colburn School of Performing Arts, under the mentorship of Maestro Maxim Eshkenazy. The first piece I learned to conduct was Igor Stravinsky’s “The Rite of Spring,” since Maxim told me, “if you can conduct this, you can conduct anything!” I have continued my conducting education at the USC Thornton School of Music with Dr. Troy Quinn; I have participated in the Los Angeles Film Conducting Intensive at Warner Bros. Studios (mentors: Angel Velez, Conrad Pope, Emilie Bernstein, William Ross, Jorge Mester), and I was lucky enough to assist the renowned Gustavo Dudamel, Paolo Bortolameolli and Alberto Arvelo during the Los Angeles Philharmonic/Deaf West production of Beethoven’s “Fidelio.” I received a full scholarship to be part of the “Girls Who Conduct” Mentorship Program, led by Kaitlin Bove and Tanya Chanphanitpornkit. In June of 2024, I premiered my composition “Memento Mori” with the National Symphony Orchestra of Costa Rica!
