Many people can do some of the things Oliviana does, but I don’t know many people who can do ALL the things she does, and does very well!

…Oliviana Marie’s sparkling contrapuntal textures as well as her inventive themes reveal a sophisticated flair for a 21-year-old student who is studying music at the University of Southern California. However, she has already composed and staged four musical theater works, and several of her compositions have won impressive awards. Marie is a composer to watch!

As her impressive resume attests, she rather precociously began writing and performing at an early age, and has amassed an impressively long list of credits, achievements, and awards for someone so young. I know Oliviana to be a gifted composer and lyricist, and a very passionate artist, with an eagerness to learn and grow, and the skills and temperament to successfully collaborate with others. Oliviana Marie is already destined to be part of the next generation of great musical theatre creators.

I can’t begin to tell you how much I enjoy working with Oliviana, who reminds me so much of what my longtime collaborator Zina Goldrich must have been like at her age. She attacks everything with gusto, intelligence and a superlative talent that will only grow with the coming years and experiences they will bring.

I truly think Oliviana will become one of this country’s finest artists in the years to come, and look forward to following her progress and growth.
